Hanoi and HCM, August 6th 2019
The deal includes two Vietnam-based online platforms centered around parenting (Marrybaby.vn) and weddings (Marry.vn). Strengthening these verticals marks a further commitment from the company towards its journey to build the largest health media network in Asia.
In line with these ambitions, Hello Health Group has recently hired aggressively for key positions, including Hien Lane (previously Luxottica), VP of Regional Partnerships, and Sudesh Kumar (previously Lazada), Head of Data.
James Miles-Lambert, CEO of Hello Health Group: “Our company ́s mission to democratize access to healthcare by taking the world’s healthcare information and making it universally accessible and useful matches perfectly with the Marry Network ́s approach. We are happy to include the Marry Network into our Hello Health Group platforms that inform, educate and engage over 32 million unique users each month. With our digital expertise, we will help the Marry Network to reach their target audience in the best possible way. Our acquisition of the Marry Network is testament to our continued commitment to building the largest healthcare platforms in the world. We are delighted by our progress to date and such will only be further fueled by our upcoming fundraising initiatives.”
Parenting- and maternity-related advice platforms are becoming increasingly popular in Asia as more parents are looking online for advice, and to connect with other parents. The platforms are unique in that they provide an environment that is considered safe and reputable by the consumers themselves. As a result, they also provide an unmatched opportunity for related brands looking to build loyalty.
Hien Lane, VP – Regional Partnerships of Hello Health Group: “Truly exciting to have Marry Baby join the Hello Health network. We have experienced the extraordinary growth in demand for parenting content
over the last few years. Parents are increasingly turning to digital sources to supplement and validate their health and childcare information. This can be to quickly access expert advice, as well as to establish social connections with other parents. A dedicated parenting platform further increases Hello Health Group’s digital presence across households, strengthening our offer to business partners.”
