Your Key Responsibilities

Leadership, Management & Strategy

  • Clearly communicate the Vision, mission, and values of Hello Health to the teams under your leadership and always provide a constant direction to the team ensuring a cohesive and engaged environment for the team.
  • Work directly with the Country Manager, Regional Head of Content, Chief Digital Officer and other key business stakeholders locally and regionally to develop, hone and communicate the audience & content strategy for the local business. 
  • Complete detailed analyses of the market, competition & changing landscape of the digital content and health industries and come up with insights to support and enable the development of the audience strategy. 
  • Leverage your own experience, insight, and local understanding of the audience preferences, behaviors, and needs to provide a plan that provides a complete and engaging user experience for our existing and future audiences. 
  • Develop a detailed delivery plan that ties to the overall strategy, working with operations teams to ensure that resources required for delivery of the plan and strategy are in place to enable success. 
  • Work with existing teams and recruit new team members within the content, creative & medical fields to bring the plan to life. Ensure that these teams are provided the guidance, support, and training needed to facilitate their personal and professional development and growth. 
  • Manage the day-to-day activities and responsibilities for the whole content and audience team, providing clear structure, processes, and guidance to manage these activities. Constantly providing insight and input into enhancing the productivity and quality of the team’s work.

Content Operations & Execution

  • Leverage the existing playbooks, processes & guidelines from the company to set up, run and optimize the local content operations flow from Content Ideation through to content creation, medical review, publication, and distribution of content.
  • Play a key role in the company biorhythm (communication calendar) to ensure alignment between your function, the commercial function, and other key functions including marketing. 
  • Sync regularly with the Marketing team to plan and come up with growth strategies to help drive an increase in audience performance and engagement across all channels, including SEO, social media, and PR. 
  • Govern the implementation of and compliance to quality assurance processes. Ensuring both SEO and editorial best practices are covered to enable the production of best in market health content & information.
  • Oversee the development, growth and management of our Medical Network, Medical Associations, and Expert freelance network to facilitate the creation of high quality, credible and trustworthy health information for the platform. 
  • Review, edit & publish content to the platform as needed to ensure the production quantity and quality KPIs are met in the market. Manage a team of editors, writers & content creators to complete all required content production monthly. 
  • Manage processes, guidelines & workflows for the CMS platform and work with product, data, and tech teams to suggest improvements to our systems to improve performance and operations. 
  • Work closely with the commercial leadership team to oversee the creation of client content plans, strategies and support the delivery of the content and performance of these campaigns.

Performance Analysis & Reporting

  • Drive results through the constant analysis and review of data to improve and optimize the performance of the teams and the processes. 
  • Dive deeply into the dashboards, analytics tools, and insight reports of the platform, audience, content, and operations to provide input into improvements and adjustments to the plan & strategy as needed. 
  • Report regularly to the wider organization & management to provide clear, concise, and well-thought-through recommendations for improvements that will drive impact and improve business outcomes. 
  • Oversee the team’s performance through regular, frequent, and detailed review sessions that are numbers-oriented and develop improvement plans for the teams to grow their capabilities of the team.
  • Contribute to the development of reports and slides for management meetings, team meetings, and client meetings as needed. 
  • Support with the reporting for client campaigns that relate to content, traffic, and on-platform deliverables such as page views, sessions, and engagement. 

People and Performance Management

  • You ensure the Hello Health Group Core Values, our Purpose and Mission are exemplified in your own behavior and brought to life. 
  • You fully commit to and implement Performance Management in line with company policy, engaging and leading individuals and the team effectively to meet company goals.
  • You ensure that all team members have updated Job Descriptions, MBOs and are fully aware of the expectations of their role and responsibilities. 
  • You hold regular performance 1 on 1 reviews with direct reports to ensure high levels of staff engagement and delivery on KPIs. 
  • You actively identify and address the development needs of your team, utilize the learning opportunities available to them on a regional and country level, ensuring your team maximize their own learning by making use of HHG’s offerings such as the HHG Academy.
  • You partner with the HR team to ensure that company policies are implemented and that all employment contracts and practices are compliant with local labor laws.
  • You attract, recruit, retain, and develop staff to position Hello Health as an employer of choice across departments.
  • You’ll ensure the projects have sufficient resources to execute within time and budget. If there are no internal resources, you’ll establish relationships with freelancers and agencies toward project execution.


Who We Want

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree or higher in Journalism, English, Communications, or other relevant fields or commensurate experience with a minimum of 7 years of relevant writing experience.
  • 5-10+ Years in editorial and content management and leadership with a proven track record of high performance, audience growth & commercial success.
  • Highly detailed oriented with an understanding of more technical aspects of the digital editorial process including experience with data analytics tools, CMS systems, and insights tools.
  • Strong experience working with SEO, from managing SEO best practices, to the analysis of SEO using Google Search Console and other SEO tools including (Ahrefs, Moz, SEMRush, etc.)
  • Innovative leader with a strong drive to improve performance, drive impact and create great user experiences for audiences on and offline. 
  • Self-motivated individual who takes the initiative to set up, manage and optimize detailed processes that govern quality and operational performance. 
  • Website content development, social media, and video content experience preferred.
